  Called in during the day to see about a booking ....Lovely place friendly staff ,this evening we came in with my friend and ordered or meals and puddings ....The chap on the bar was so very helpful and service was exceptional the food was very tasty ...We definitely would recommend this place and we will come back again in the summer ...

  Great food, lovely friendly staff, competitive prices, the only negative was the whole seating area, the carpets were hoovered, the tables were clean but the seats looked disgusting, I’m not fussy by any means and people maybe just get used to the seating looking like that and have become ‘blind’ to it, but as a first time visitor, I really noticed the amount of stains on the seats and backs of the chairs, being a family pub it must be really difficult keeping the ‘fabric’ seats clean, but if you can improve anything, please do something about the seats, they’re mingin. Maybe have them deep cleaned or changed altogether. ( maybe a restaurant closing down could do you a good deal) it’s a shame to spoil a good restaurant for the sake of the seating. I will come again, but I just wanted to make you aware of a ‘first impression’ view, it could really put some people off.
